One-on-One Mentorship for Adults with Insulin Dependent Diabetes

  • Friendly, practical support without judgement or pressure.

    Living with diabetes is relentless.
Not because you don’t know enough, but because diabetes never switches off.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, burnt out, or quietly worried about your numbers, you’re not alone. And you don’t have to figure this out by yourself.

This mentorship is here to help diabetes feel more manageable again.

  • It’s about confidence, clarity, and calmer days.

    You don’t need “better willpower”.
    You don’t need stricter rules.
You don’t need to explain or justify your numbers.

You need support that fits real life.

  • Diabetes mentoring is non-medical, supportive guidance that helps you:

    • Understand your blood glucose patterns without panic

    • Reduce overwhelm and fear around highs and lows

    • Feel more confident with food, insulin timing, and daily decisions

    • Rebuild trust in yourself after a difficult period

    • Make gentle, sustainable improvements — without extremes

    This is not medical care.
It’s human support for the day-to-day reality of living with insulin dependent diabetes.

  • This mentorship is especially helpful if you:

    • Are newly diagnosed and feel lost or overloaded

    • “Know the theory” but struggle in real life

    • Avoid looking at numbers because they feel stressful

    • Feel anxious about insulin or fear hypos

    • Feel burnt out, frustrated, or disconnected from diabetes

    • Want steadier glucose levels without rigid rules

    • Want support from someone who understands daily diabetes life

You don’t need to be ready to change everything.
You just need to be open to small, realistic steps.

  • Depending on your needs, mentoring may focus on:

    • Understanding why glucose runs high or low

    • Reducing fear of insulin and hypos

    • Making insulin timing feel safer and clearer

    • Interpreting CGM trends in plain language

    • Managing diabetes burnout

    • Building routines that work in real life

    • Gently improving average glucose over time

    • Feeling calmer and more in control again

Everything is approached at your pace.

  • To keep you safe and supported, it’s important to be clear:

    • No insulin dose changes

    • No medication adjustments

    • No medical advice or diagnosis

    • No replacement for your GP, DSN, or consultant

All medical decisions remain with your healthcare team.
This mentorship works alongside medical care — not instead of it.

    1. Contact me to arrange a meet and greet video chat, free of charge

    2. We talk through your experience and challenges

    3. We find small, realistic focus areas to work on

    4. We take it one step at a time

    No pressure.
No obligation to continue if it’s not the right fit.

  • At the initial meet and greet you will decide on the amount of video chats you would like, ranging from twice a week, once a week, every other week or just once a month.

Every video chat session costs €75 and includes a 60 minute live talk with me at a time and date that suits you, as well as a “Recap” and “Plan of Action” Summary you will receive after each session to help you achieve the set goals for that time until the next chat.

There is no set cut off point for mentoring. I can help you along your diabetes journey as long as you need me. Only once we agree that you are confident to manage your diabetes by yourself we will stop the mentoring sessions.

An email support/check-in afterwards can be arranged, just to keep you on track.
